Trogons
Trogons are colorful birds found in tropical and subtropical forests around the world, particularly in Central America and South America. They are known for their striking plumage, which often features bright green, blue, and red colors. Trogons have a unique body shape with a short neck and long tail, making them easily recognizable.
These birds primarily feed on fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. Trogons are also known for their distinctive calls and are often seen perched quietly on branches, where they blend into their surroundings. They play an important role in their ecosystems by helping to disperse seeds.
