Trinity Dam
Trinity Dam is a concrete gravity dam located on the Trinity River in northern California. Completed in 1963, it is part of the Central Valley Project and serves multiple purposes, including flood control, water supply, and hydroelectric power generation. The dam creates Trinity Lake, which is one of the largest reservoirs in California.
The dam stands 162 feet tall and stretches 1,200 feet across. It has a total storage capacity of approximately 2.4 million acre-feet of water. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation manages the dam, ensuring it meets the water needs of the surrounding communities and agricultural areas.
