Tribal Colleges
Tribal Colleges are higher education institutions in the United States that primarily serve Native American students. They focus on providing culturally relevant education and often incorporate Indigenous knowledge and traditions into their curricula. These colleges aim to promote academic success while preserving and enhancing Native cultures.
Established in the late 20th century, Tribal Colleges are located on or near Native American reservations. They offer a range of programs, including associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and vocational training. Many of these institutions also emphasize community service and development, helping to strengthen local economies and support Indigenous communities.
