Treta Yuga
The Treta Yuga is the second of the four ages in Hindu cosmology, known as the Yugas. It follows the Satya Yuga and precedes the Dvapara Yuga. This age is characterized by a decline in virtue and an increase in human flaws, with righteousness (Dharma) represented as three-quarters of a person, compared to the full measure in the previous age.
During the Treta Yuga, significant events and figures emerge, including the epic tale of Ramayana, which features the hero Lord Rama. This period is marked by the presence of divine beings and the establishment of moral codes, but it also sees the gradual rise of conflict and challenges to righteousness.
