Travancore-Cochin
Travancore-Cochin was a former state in southern India, formed in 1949 by merging the princely states of Travancore and Cochin. It was located in the region of Kerala and was known for its rich cultural heritage, beautiful landscapes, and significant contributions to art and literature.
In 1956, Travancore-Cochin was reorganized and merged into the newly formed state of Kerala. The region is famous for its backwaters, traditional dance forms like Kathakali, and its unique cuisine, which reflects the diverse influences of its history and geography.
