Transitional National Government
The Transitional National Government (TNG) refers to a temporary governing body established to facilitate a transition from conflict or instability to a more permanent political structure. It often includes representatives from various factions or groups to ensure broader representation and promote peace. The TNG aims to create a framework for governance, establish rule of law, and prepare for future elections.
In the context of Somalia, the TNG was formed in 2000 as part of efforts to restore order after years of civil war. It sought to unite different clans and political factions under a single administration, paving the way for a more stable government and addressing humanitarian needs.
