Tour Hassan
Tour Hassan is a historic minaret located in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Standing at 44 meters tall, it was originally part of a grand mosque commissioned by Sultan Yacoub al-Mansour in the 12th century. Although the mosque was never completed, the minaret remains a significant symbol of Islamic architecture in the region.
The structure is made of red sandstone and features intricate carvings and geometric patterns typical of Moorish design. Tour Hassan is surrounded by a beautiful plaza and is often visited by tourists and locals alike, making it a popular landmark in Rabat.
