Toucanets
Toucanets are small to medium-sized birds belonging to the family Ramphastidae, which also includes the larger toucans. They are primarily found in the tropical forests of Central and South America. Characterized by their vibrant plumage and large, colorful bills, toucanets are often seen in pairs or small groups, feeding on fruits, insects, and small animals.
These birds typically inhabit the canopy and subcanopy layers of the forest, where they use their strong bills to reach food. There are several species of toucanets, each with unique color patterns and sizes, contributing to the rich biodiversity of their habitats.
