Torx
Torx is a type of screw drive characterized by a star-shaped pattern with six points. This design allows for better torque transfer and reduces the risk of stripping the screw head compared to traditional flat or Phillips screws. Torx screws are commonly used in various applications, including automotive, electronics, and furniture assembly.
The Torx system includes different sizes, identified by a "T" followed by a number, such as T10 or T25. Each size corresponds to a specific tool, known as a Torx driver or bit, which fits snugly into the screw head, providing a secure grip during installation or removal.
