Torre de la Catedral
The Torre de la Catedral is the bell tower of the Catedral de Santa María located in Seville, Spain. This iconic structure stands at 104 meters tall, making it one of the tallest church towers in the world. Built in the late 12th century, it was originally part of a mosque before being converted into a cathedral after the Reconquista.
The tower features a distinctive design with a square base and a series of octagonal sections. At its top, there is a statue known as the Giraldillo, which represents faith and serves as a weather vane. The Torre de la Catedral is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular tourist attraction.
