Torah Portions
Torah Portions are sections of the Torah, the central reference of the religious Judaic tradition. Each week, a specific portion is read in synagogues, allowing the community to engage with the text over the course of a year. This practice helps to ensure that the teachings and stories of the Torah are regularly revisited and discussed.
The weekly readings are known as Parashot, and they are divided into 54 portions, corresponding to the annual cycle of readings. Each Parashah typically includes a narrative, laws, and ethical teachings, providing a comprehensive understanding of Judaism and its values.
