Parashah
A "Parashah" is a section of the Torah, the central reference of the religious Judaic tradition. The Torah is divided into 54 weekly portions, each called a Parashah, which are read during synagogue services. Each Parashah typically covers a specific theme or narrative from the Hebrew Bible.
The reading of the Parashah is an important practice in Jewish communities, as it allows for the study and discussion of sacred texts. Each week, a different Parashah is read, culminating in the annual cycle that concludes with the Simchat Torah celebration, marking the completion and restart of the Torah readings.
