Toposa People
The Toposa people are an ethnic group primarily found in the southeastern region of South Sudan. They are known for their pastoral lifestyle, relying on cattle herding as a central part of their culture and economy. The Toposa speak the Toposa language, which is part of the Nilotic language family, and they have rich traditions that include music, dance, and storytelling.
Traditionally, the Toposa people live in small, semi-nomadic communities, often moving with their herds. Their social structure is organized around clans, and they practice customs that emphasize community and kinship. The Toposa also engage in agriculture, growing crops like sorghum and millet to supplement their diet.
