Toposa
The Toposa are an ethnic group primarily located in the southeastern region of South Sudan. They are part of the larger Kushitic cultural group and are known for their pastoral lifestyle, relying on cattle herding as a significant aspect of their economy and social structure. The Toposa people speak the Toposa language, which belongs to the Nilo-Saharan language family.
Traditionally, the Toposa are organized into clans, each with its own leadership and customs. Their culture is rich in oral traditions, music, and dance, often reflecting their connection to cattle and the surrounding environment. The Toposa also engage in agriculture, growing crops like sorghum and millet to supplement their diet.
