Tonian
The Tonian is a geological period that occurred from approximately 1,000 to 720 million years ago, during the Neoproterozoic Era. It is characterized by significant geological and biological changes, including the formation of supercontinents and the emergence of early multicellular life forms.
During the Tonian, the Earth's climate was generally warm, and the oceans were rich in nutrients. This period set the stage for the later development of more complex organisms, leading up to the Ediacaran Period, which is known for its diverse and unique life forms.
