Toman
Toman is a historical currency that was used in Persia, now known as Iran. It was originally based on the value of a specific weight of silver. Over time, the term "toman" has also been used informally to refer to the Iranian rial, which is the current official currency of Iran.
In modern usage, one toman is often considered equivalent to ten rials. The currency has undergone various changes and reforms throughout Iran's history, influenced by economic conditions and political events, including the Islamic Revolution and subsequent sanctions.
