Tom Perez
Tom Perez is an American politician and attorney who served as the Chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2017 to 2021. He was born on October 7, 1961, in Buffalo, New York, and is known for his work in civil rights and labor issues. Before becoming DNC Chair, he held various positions, including Secretary of Labor under President Barack Obama.
Perez has a background in law and public policy, having earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. He has also served as the Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice.
