Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles
The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles are a professional baseball team based in Sendai, Japan. They compete in the Pacific League of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Established in 2004, the team is owned by the Rakuten Group, a major e-commerce and internet company. The Eagles play their home games at Rakuten Seimei Park Miyagi.
The team achieved significant success in 2013 when they won their first Japan Series championship. The Golden Eagles are known for their passionate fan base and community involvement in the Tohoku region, especially following the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that impacted the area.
