Toegye Yi Hwang
Toegye Yi Hwang (1501-1570) was a prominent Korean Confucian scholar and philosopher. He is best known for his contributions to the development of Confucian thought in Korea, particularly through his interpretation of the teachings of Confucius and Mencius. Yi Hwang emphasized the importance of moral cultivation and the role of education in achieving a virtuous life.
