Tlahuica
The Tlahuica are an indigenous group from the region of Morelos, Mexico. They are part of the larger Nahua cultural family and have a rich history that dates back to pre-Columbian times. Traditionally, the Tlahuica engaged in agriculture, cultivating crops such as maize and beans, and they are known for their unique pottery and textiles.
Today, the Tlahuica continue to preserve their cultural heritage while adapting to modern life. They maintain their language, also called Tlahuica, and celebrate traditional festivals that reflect their ancestral beliefs. Efforts are ongoing to promote and protect their cultural identity in the face of globalization.
