Tithi
Tithi is a term used in the Hindu lunar calendar to denote a specific day or date. It is based on the phases of the moon, with each Tithi representing the time it takes for the moon to move 12 degrees in its orbit. There are 30 Tithis in a lunar month, divided into two halves: Shukla Paksha (waxing phase) and Krishna Paksha (waning phase).
Each Tithi has its own significance and is often associated with various religious and cultural practices. For instance, many Hindu festivals and rituals are scheduled according to specific Tithis, making them an essential aspect of the lunar calendar and traditional observances.
