Tiridates III
Tiridates III was a king of Armenia who ruled during the 1st century AD. He is known for his efforts to strengthen the Armenian kingdom and maintain its independence from neighboring powers, particularly the Roman Empire. His reign is often associated with the promotion of Zoroastrianism and the establishment of a strong royal authority.
Tiridates III is also notable for his relationship with the Roman Emperor Nero. In 66 AD, he traveled to Rome to receive his crown from Nero, which symbolized Armenia's status as a client kingdom of Rome. His reign marked a significant period in Armenian history, blending local traditions with external influences.
