Tiger's Nest
Tiger's Nest, also known as Paro Taktsang, is a famous Buddhist monastery located in the cliffs of the Paro Valley in Bhutan. It was built in the 17th century and is perched about 3,000 meters above sea level. The monastery is a significant pilgrimage site and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
The name "Tiger's Nest" comes from the legend that the Guru Padmasambhava meditated here in the 8th century after arriving on the back of a tigress. The site is accessible via a hiking trail, attracting many visitors who seek to experience its spiritual atmosphere and breathtaking scenery.
