Ticonderoga-class
The Ticonderoga-class is a class of guided-missile cruisers used by the United States Navy. These ships are designed for multi-role missions, including air defense, surface warfare, and anti-submarine operations. They are equipped with advanced radar and missile systems, such as the Aegis Combat System, which allows them to track and engage multiple targets simultaneously.
Commissioned in the 1980s, the Ticonderoga-class ships have a displacement of around 9,600 tons and can reach speeds of over 30 knots. They typically carry a crew of about 300 personnel and are armed with a variety of weapons, including Tomahawk cruise missiles and Standard missiles for air defense.
