Tick Bites
A tick bite occurs when a tick attaches itself to the skin to feed on blood. Ticks are small arachnids that can be found in grassy or wooded areas. They can transmit diseases, such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever, making it important to remove them promptly.
Symptoms of a tick bite may include redness, swelling, or itching at the site. In some cases, a rash or fever may develop if a tick-borne illness is transmitted. To prevent tick bites, wear protective clothing and use insect repellent when spending time outdoors in areas where ticks are common.
