Tian Shan argali
The Tian Shan argali is a large wild sheep species found in the mountainous regions of Central Asia, particularly in the Tian Shan mountain range. Known for its impressive curved horns, which can grow up to 1.5 meters long, this species is well-adapted to rugged terrains and high altitudes.
These argali primarily inhabit alpine meadows and rocky slopes, where they graze on grasses and shrubs. They are social animals, often seen in small herds, and play a crucial role in their ecosystem by influencing vegetation patterns. Conservation efforts are important due to threats from habitat loss and hunting.
