Thyroid Nodules
Thyroid nodules are small lumps that can form in the thyroid gland, which is located in the front of the neck. These nodules can vary in size and are often discovered during routine medical exams or imaging tests. Most thyroid nodules are benign, meaning they are not cancerous, but some may require further evaluation.
While many people with thyroid nodules experience no symptoms, some may notice swelling in the neck or changes in their voice. Doctors may use ultrasound or fine needle aspiration to assess the nodules and determine if any treatment is necessary. Regular monitoring is often recommended for benign nodules.
