Thrusters
Thrusters are a type of exercise equipment used primarily for strength training and conditioning. They combine a squat and an overhead press, engaging multiple muscle groups, including the legs, core, and shoulders. This full-body movement helps improve strength, endurance, and coordination.
In a typical thruster, an individual holds weights, such as dumbbells or a barbell, at shoulder height. They then perform a squat, followed by an explosive upward movement to press the weights overhead. Thrusters are often included in high-intensity workouts, such as CrossFit, due to their effectiveness in building functional fitness.
