A "Throw-In" is a method of restarting play in soccer when the ball goes out of bounds over the sideline. The team that did not touch the ball last is awarded the throw-in. The player must use both hands to throw the ball from behind their head and keep both feet on the ground or behind the line. During a throw-in, the player must ensure that the ball is thrown in a straight line and that both feet remain on the ground. If the throw-in is executed incorrectly, the opposing team is awarded the throw-in instead.
