Thomas S. Lubbock
Thomas S. Lubbock was a prominent figure in the American Civil War, known for his role as a Confederate general. Born in 1817 in Georgia, he graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served in the Mexican-American War before rising to prominence in the Confederate Army.
Lubbock was appointed as a brigadier general and played a significant role in several battles, including the Battle of Galveston. After the war, he returned to Texas, where he became involved in politics and served as the state's governor from 1861 to 1863. He passed away in 1897.
