Thomas Fitzwilliam, 2nd Earl of Southampton
Thomas Fitzwilliam, 2nd Earl of Southampton, was an English nobleman born in 1600. He was the son of Thomas Fitzwilliam, 1st Earl of Southampton and Mary Browne. He inherited the title of Earl of Southampton in 1643 after his father's death and was known for his involvement in the political and military affairs of his time, particularly during the English Civil War.
The 2nd Earl was a supporter of the Royalist cause, aligning himself with King Charles I. He served in various military roles and was involved in several key battles. His life was marked by the turmoil of the civil conflict, and he passed away in 1649.
