Therizinosaurus
Therizinosaurus was a unique dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago. It was a large, herbivorous dinosaur known for its long, curved claws, which could grow up to 3 feet in length. These claws were likely used for foraging plants and possibly for defense against predators.
Unlike many other dinosaurs, Therizinosaurus had a distinctive body shape, with a bulky torso and a long neck. Its unusual features have led scientists to classify it in a separate group called theropods, which includes carnivorous dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus rex. Despite its fearsome appearance, Therizinosaurus primarily fed on vegetation.
