Theodor Koch-Grunberg
Theodor Koch-Grunberg was a German explorer and ethnographer born in 1856. He is best known for his extensive travels in the Amazon rainforest, where he studied the indigenous peoples and their cultures. His work contributed significantly to the understanding of the diverse tribes in the region, including the Yanomami and Tukano.
Koch-Grunberg's most notable expedition took place between 1903 and 1905, during which he documented his findings in detail. His writings, including the book "Von Roraima zum Rio Negro," provide valuable insights into the geography and anthropology of the Amazon. He passed away in 1924, leaving a lasting legacy in the field of ethnography.
