Theatre for a New Audience
Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA) is a non-profit organization based in New York City, dedicated to producing classic and contemporary plays. Founded in 1979 by Jeffrey Horowitz, TFANA aims to engage diverse audiences through innovative theatrical experiences, often focusing on works by William Shakespeare and other significant playwrights.
TFANA operates primarily in the Polonsky Shakespeare Center, which opened in 2013 in Brooklyn. The venue features a flexible performance space designed to enhance the connection between actors and audiences. Through educational programs and community outreach, TFANA also fosters a deeper appreciation for theatre and its cultural impact.
