The Go-Betweens
The Go-Betweens were an Australian indie rock band formed in 1977 in Brisbane. The group was known for their melodic sound and thoughtful lyrics, often blending elements of pop and rock. Key members included Robert Forster and Grant McLennan, who were the primary songwriters and vocalists. The band gained a dedicated following and released several influential albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
After disbanding in 1989, The Go-Betweens reunited in 2000 and continued to create music until McLennan's death in 2006. Their work has been celebrated for its emotional depth and has influenced many artists in the indie music scene.
