The Fall of Troy
The Fall of Troy is a legendary event from ancient Greek mythology, marking the end of the Trojan War. After a long siege lasting ten years, the Greeks devised a clever plan using a large wooden horse, known as the Trojan Horse. They hid soldiers inside it and left it at the gates of Troy as a supposed offering of peace. The Greeks pretended to retreat, leading the Trojans to bring the horse into the city.
That night, while the Trojans celebrated, the hidden Greek soldiers emerged from the horse. They opened the city gates for the rest of the Greek army, who had secretly returned. This surprise attack led to the destruction of Troy and the end of the war, fulfilling the Greeks' long quest for victory.
