"The Cat Returns" is a Japanese animated film produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Hiroyuki Morita. The story follows a high school girl named Haru who saves a cat from being hit by a car. This cat turns out to be Prince Cat, and as a reward, she is whisked away to the Cat Kingdom. In the Cat Kingdom, Haru is treated like royalty but soon realizes she wants to return home. With the help of Muta, a large cat, and The Cat King, she embarks on an adventure to escape the kingdom and find her way back to her world.
