The Belmonts
The Belmonts were an American doo-wop group formed in the 1950s, originally from The Bronx, New York. The group consisted of members Dion DiMucci, Carlo Mastrangelo, Fred Milano, and Angelo D'Aleo. They gained fame for their harmonious vocal style and catchy songs, often collaborating with Dion on hits like "I Wonder Why" and "A Teenager in Love."
The Belmonts played a significant role in the early rock and roll scene, influencing many artists that followed. Their music is characterized by rich vocal harmonies and relatable themes, making them a staple of the era's sound. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2000.
