The Anglo-Zulu War
The Anglo-Zulu War took place in 1879 between the British Empire and the Zulu Kingdom in present-day South Africa. The conflict arose from British expansionist policies and tensions over land and sovereignty. The war began when the British invaded the Zulu territory, aiming to annex it.
The war is notable for several key battles, including the famous Battle of Isandlwana, where the Zulus achieved a significant victory against British forces. However, the British eventually regrouped and defeated the Zulus at the Battle of Ulundi, leading to the fall of the Zulu Kingdom and its incorporation into British-controlled territories.
