Thai Senate
The Thai Senate is the upper house of the National Assembly of Thailand, which consists of 250 members. Senators are not elected by the public; instead, they are appointed by the Prime Minister and other bodies, including the military. The Senate plays a crucial role in reviewing legislation, approving budgets, and overseeing government actions.
Senators serve a term of five years and can be reappointed. The Thai Senate has the authority to propose laws, but its primary function is to provide checks and balances on the House of Representatives, the lower house of the National Assembly.
