Thérèse Martin
Thérèse Martin, also known as Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, was a French nun born on January 2, 1873. She entered the Carmelite Order at a young age and is best known for her spiritual writings, particularly her autobiography titled Story of a Soul. Thérèse emphasized the importance of simplicity and love in one's relationship with God.
She passed away on September 30, 1897, at the age of 24, but her influence has endured. Thérèse was canonized as a saint in 1925 and declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997, making her one of the few women to receive this honor.
