Testicular Arteries
The testicular arteries are paired blood vessels that supply oxygenated blood to the testes, which are the male reproductive organs responsible for producing sperm and hormones. These arteries originate from the abdominal aorta, typically at the level of the second lumbar vertebra, and travel down into the scrotum through the inguinal canal.
Each testicular artery branches into smaller vessels as it approaches the testes, ensuring adequate blood flow. They play a crucial role in maintaining the health and function of the testes, supporting processes such as sperm production and hormone secretion.
