Tennessee Government
The Tennessee Government operates under a framework established by the Tennessee Constitution. It consists of three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive branch is led by the Governor, who is elected for a four-year term. The legislative branch is a bicameral body, comprising the Tennessee House of Representatives and the Tennessee Senate.
The judicial branch interprets laws and is made up of various courts, including the Tennessee Supreme Court. The state government is responsible for areas such as education, transportation, and public safety. Local governments, including counties and cities, also play a significant role in governance within Tennessee.
