Tennessee Senate
The Tennessee Senate is the upper chamber of the Tennessee General Assembly, which is the state's legislative body. It consists of 33 members who are elected to four-year terms. Senators represent various districts across the state and are responsible for creating and voting on laws, as well as addressing issues that affect the residents of Tennessee.
The Tennessee Senate meets at the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville. The Senate works alongside the lower chamber, the Tennessee House of Representatives, to pass legislation. Key responsibilities include approving budgets, confirming appointments, and conducting hearings on proposed laws.
