Tema Oil Refinery
The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) is a major oil refinery located in Tema, Ghana. Established in 1963, it plays a crucial role in the country's energy sector by processing crude oil into various petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. The refinery has a capacity to process about 45,000 barrels of oil per day, contributing significantly to Ghana's fuel supply.
TOR is operated by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and is vital for reducing the country's dependence on imported fuel. The refinery also supports local industries and creates jobs, making it an essential component of Ghana's economy and energy infrastructure.
