Telescopium
Telescopium is a small constellation located in the southern sky. It was introduced in the 17th century by the astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille and represents a telescope. The constellation is not particularly bright, with its most prominent star being Alpha Telescopii.
Telescopium is bordered by several other constellations, including Ara, Pavo, and Grus. It contains a few notable deep-sky objects, such as the NGC 7044 star cluster. Despite its modest size, Telescopium is recognized for its historical significance in the development of astronomy.
