Tecoma
Tecoma is a genus of flowering plants in the family Bignoniaceae. It includes several species, commonly known for their vibrant trumpet-shaped flowers, which can be yellow, orange, or red. These plants are often used in gardens and landscaping due to their attractive appearance and ability to attract pollinators like bees and hummingbirds.
Native to tropical and subtropical regions, Tecoma species thrive in warm climates. They can grow as shrubs or small trees and are typically drought-tolerant once established. Some popular species include Tecoma stans, known as yellow trumpetbush, and Tecoma capensis, or Cape honeysuckle, both valued for their ornamental qualities.
