Taungurung Language
The Taungurung Language is an Indigenous Australian language traditionally spoken by the Taungurung people, who are part of the larger Kulin Nation in Victoria. This language is part of the Pama-Nyungan language family and has a rich cultural significance, reflecting the history and traditions of the Taungurung community.
In recent years, efforts have been made to revive and preserve the Taungurung Language, which faced decline due to colonization and the impact on Indigenous cultures. Language programs and resources have been developed to teach the language to younger generations, ensuring that the Taungurung heritage continues to thrive.
