Tasmanian House of Assembly
The Tasmanian House of Assembly is the lower house of the Parliament of Tasmania, located in Australia. It consists of 25 members who are elected to represent various electoral divisions across the state. The House is responsible for proposing and debating legislation, as well as scrutinizing the actions of the government.
Members of the House serve a four-year term, and elections are held using a proportional representation voting system. The House of Assembly works alongside the Tasmanian Legislative Council, which is the upper house, to ensure a balanced legislative process in the state.
