Tasman Island Lighthouse
The Tasman Island Lighthouse is located on Tasman Island, off the southeastern coast of Tasmania, Australia. Built in 1906, it stands 24 meters tall and is one of the most important lighthouses in the region. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships safely through the treacherous waters of the Bass Strait.
The lighthouse is notable for its distinctive white tower and red lantern. It was automated in 1976, which means it no longer requires a keeper to operate. Today, the Tasman Island Lighthouse is a popular site for tourists and photographers, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape and ocean.
